Cliff!
Sorry. Someone had to do it.
Hi Cliff. I am guessing it’s a superdelegate thing.
My theory is that the Supers are trying to give her a graceful out. And warning her to take it. I hope I’m right, I think Obama is the better choice.
Boxturtle (And Welcome Cliff!)
I’d forgotten the Cleta smackdown. Goooood one. Welcome!
I hope for some results from this, not holding my breath because of the
determination of Clintons to eke out some miracle “victory”. I had hoped
that a result like Tuesday last would lead to some movement among the
supers and in the interest of moving into a real future I wait for some
positive news. It may take more time to work out than one meeting…
Are we there yet?
She’d best stay in the race for WV and Kentucky; having our prospective nominee possibly lose to someone who just withdrew would not look great. Let her stay in until 5/20, then be graceful for gosh sake!
Terry McAuliffe was quoted today saying they would probably not stay in until the convention; combined with other anonymous sources in her campaign basically admitting that it’s over it looks to me like they are laying the ground work for an exit, once “enough” supers have commmitted to Barack.
I am guessing she’ll stay in until the 20th and then get out, giving pressure from the DNC and the “will of the superdelegates” as the reasons.
Then again, she appears to have lost her grip on reality, so who knows.
I know you have to have a huge ego to be a politician, but Jeebus, when does this stop?
Watching McCain on The Daily Show is like looking at kindly Dr. Jekyl when you KNOW there is a Mr. Hyde in there but no one but you knows that. If we could get this primary stuff wrapped up then maybe the press might look a little deeper into Mr. Hyde.
Yeah I know, optimists die younger than pessimists.
Hey guys,
Thanks for the comments/ideas. I think this meeting might have led to some of the super endorsements that came out yesterday. Rep. Brad Miller, for example…But I’ll check and update…
It most certainly is Betsy…
I largely agree. I think she is out within two weeks after the last primary, if not sooner…
Thanks CC. It is fun to beat on old Cleta. Silly person…
Thanks for the kind welcome. And I agree with your theory. The only question is how long can they wait?
