From barackobama.com via The Huffington Post:
On May 10th, Barack Obama is launching Vote for Change, an unprecedented 50-state voter registration and mobilization drive. More than 100 events will be held across the country that day. Obama volunteers will register new voters as the start of a six-month voter registration drive.
This looks to be an unprecedented effort to buck conventional wisdom about who votes, using technology and grassroots organizing to generate enormous turnout. It if it successful, the political playing field may be altered in ways that would greatly enhance the future fortunes of progressive politicians.

Methinks it’s aimed more at building a power base for Barry within the party that sees him as ‘The One’. Put this together with the lunacy Stoller and ‘The BoneHead’, that’s Bowers if you didn’t know, and you’ve got some scary shit going on.
Precious puts a foot wrong and this could be the biggest explosion in the Dem Party since 1912.
Me?
I’m writing in Edwards.
So….
Sue me!
It appears to a non-political citizen like me that Obama is proving, what Dean proved when running both for president and for head of the DNC, that getting every single state involved in the process, and not just the big industrial states like Ohio and Pa ala Clinton, is a winning ticket.
He is showing what his candidacy can bring to the table. Not just the star power, but the organization. In EVERY. SINGLE. STATE. ACROSS. OUR GREAT NATION. Now that is a winning ticket. In the long run, that will prove invaluable.
It’s what I think anyway.
You have no idea how excited I am about this. I already have an Obama-trained volunteer working for my campaign, and she’s great! Plenty of kids from our school have been going to Iowa (hundreds of miles from home) and were active there. I’m licking my chops to get them working on the ground here!
LOL shades of Jerilyn Delusional Merritt:
Precious puts a foot wrong and this could be the biggest explosion in the Dem Party since 1912.
Say what? You mean what precisely? Who you callin’ precious? The guy who set up in South Chicago and organized everyday for down and out blacks across from the steel mills?
The pissed off Hillary and Edwards supporters are expending energy trying to paint Obama as fragile (supressed raccism that doesn’t want a black guy in the White House?)
For my money Mccain has put his feet wrong a million times, and he’s already imploded. His policies are destructive and very little different from Bush despite whether he voted for Bush or not and despite his feeble efforts to distinguish them. Bush has broken the treasury, helped kill thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and run this country into the ground. McCain thinks he’s done a great job.
How about grizzled racist bitch has put so many footsies in mouth that she imploded already?
Your man Edwards is endorsing Obama and he voted for him wisely so. He’s been delicate about it because his wife who has a life threatening illness is enamored of Clinton’s ill-defined medical “plan” that would not pass Congress and whose funding she has not defined. Elizabeth is dealing with Hillary’s plan from the heart and gut cerebrally. Elizabeth is married to a millionaire and she has adequate coverage. But Elizabeth doesn’t spell out how Hillary’s plan would be funded or many of the other specifics that Hillary fails to define of course.
Hillary has not addressed the exponentially increasing copays %30-60,000 a year for drugs alone, not to mention all the other medical costs, like Elizabeth is using for her breast cancer because she doesn’t have a clue what to do about it.
“Elizabeth is embracing Hillary’s plan from the heart and gut rather than cerebrally” it should have read and deference to his wife and her illness is the only reason Edwards hasn’t done an outright endorsement of Obama. He’ll vote for him as a Super D though.
Typical from Jeralyn “woe is me the sky is falling Merritt”
We all saw it Jeralyn and it was spot on.
Thanks Cliff.
My pleasure Boo. And Pete, I missed the skit, do you know where it is ie Youtube or some other online venue/
Cheers,
Cliff
Cliff–
I looked very hard and I can’t find the Amy Poehler video from May 10, 2008 anywhere. It will probably take a few days for it to show up on video sights and when it does, I’ll link it for you. Welcome to the greater FDL. It’s good to have someone who can tolerate people who aren’t cheerleading for Hillary Clinton or delusional and think she’s winning like McAuliffe, many of the FDL headliners, and Jeralyn Merritt. With Jane it depends on who criticizes Hillary, because in the last few days, on FDL there were people being much more abrasive towards her than I ever was. As Hugh says, the aristocratic secretive attitude that has evolved there is very unfortunate.
If you look at Jeraly Merritt’s blog it has evolved into a once interesting legal issue blog to a pure cheerleading blog for Hillary. I don’t know which blogs Marcy Wheeler has stopped reading, but I’ll bet they are blind support blogs like Jeralyn’s.
I cannot help but taker her comments as straight up racist and the kitchen sink has been different from the usual political flack in that she has said McCain is qualified and Obama isn’t.
To her basic premise that she is “experienced” I’d pose the simple question anyone poses hiring a physician to work in a busy tertiary emergency room–
What skills and experience does she have to do this?
When the Supreme Court appoints a lawyer to oral argue, it is usually someone who is experienced making oral arguments before a federal appellate court or the Supreme Court unlike the actual judges on appellate panels, many of whom have never argued a case in a federal courtroom in fact–that’s what I’m looking for in experience and Hillary Clinton has none of it.
As to the points that Jeralyn keeps making Kentucky counts, yada and yada. I think I understand it counts. I grew up in Louisville. There is a Louisville but the point is that so does every other primary and caucus count.
And for the Clintons and McAuliffe to blithly act as if there wasn’t an agreement by an adult who graduated Yale law school even though she cannot pass the D.C. bar and refuses to have the backbone to go back and take the Bar that defeated her racist butt again, that’s insane.
There was an agreement. Michigan and Florida were disqualified period. For McAuliffe to act lke they are regular elections this morning is insane, and it’s an insight into why she lost.
Sorry that should have read “video sites.”
I should make clear that if Obama hosts any fundraisers in my area to pay Mark Penn when Bill can do a few speeches or makie a few Kazakstahn deals to retire their debt, many of my friends will not contribute a penny to pay Penn.
We aren’t feeling sorry for a NYC Burson-Marsteller and President of Penn, Schoen and Berland multimillionaire are the hundred millionaire many times over in potential Clintons whose daughter works at a $200,000 plus gift job for which she has no training whatsoever and lives in a $3.6 million dollar NYC pad.
I am also glad to learn that any of you white people who support Obama must be lazy white Americans in Hillary Clinton’s view.
I personally think I’ve worked a helluva lot harder each day than Hillary or Bill Clinton ever dreamed of working and they couldn’t get into the schools I had to go to.
If McCain says he will be Hamass’ worst nightmare all of a sudden, and he’s been in the U.S. House five years and the U.S. Senate 20 years why has he done nothing about Hamass during 25 years and the fiasco in Iraq for six years?
Worst nightmare my ass. He’ll continue in the US Senate and won’t impact Hamass a scintilla.
LOL now Jeralyn Merritt is fantasizing an Obama cabinet post in the Clinton administration she’s never going to see in her lifetime.
It should be named “Talk Left Jeralyn’s Magic World of Delusional Thinking.”
Not one comment that criticizes Clinton is allowed there, much like FDL depending on who makes them.
