I was at the Personal Democracy Forum conference in New York City yesterday, and was shown an early version of what has become a hysterical viral video. Tracy Russo, an online guru for the Edwards Campaign, and Mark Soohoo, the guy who has to explain to McCain everyday that the Internet is not run by pedaling a bike-like apparatus from the Flintstones, had a back and forth that was simply hysterical.
Russo was excellent.
Jason Linkins has more at Huff Po (I'd link but I am having some tech problems, so go check it out--but watch this video first).

I really, really don’t want the whole campaign against McSame to focus on his age (I was basically raised by my great grandmother and have a mountain of respect for the senior set). But … let’s be honest: Dude’s out of touch. Severely so. And that is, in fact, important.
The world changes faster than it ever has in the past. News travels around the globe as fast as someone can post it on a Web site. Conditions on hot spots like Iraq and Afghanistan can turn with one attack carried out in seconds.
In short, someone who refuses to catch up will do nothing but get in the way.
That’s the way we need to frame the issue, and videos like this are a great tool to use.
Well, as soon as everyone stops laughing.
That was so perfect. Talk all you want to fella…you should be in comedy, not politics.
but is he aware of all internet traditions?
even better
Yeesh.
McCain is “aware” of the internet like my 3 yr old daughter is “aware” of quantum physics.
